Julisa is an experienced commercial property solicitor acting in the acquisition and disposal of commercial and residential property.

Julisa has dealt with a varied portfolio of property transactions to include agricultural lands, buy to let properties, apartment blocks, mixed use developments, industrial units, wind farm developments, receivership and mortgagee in possession sales.

Julisa graduated from National University of Ireland, Galway in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A) Honours Degree in Law and Politics. She graduated from National University of Ireland, Galway in 2003 with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) Honours Degree.

She was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors of the Incorporated Law Society of Ireland in January 2009. Julisa joined the firm in 2016 and was appointed a Partner in 2020. Prior to joining JD Scanlon & Co LLP, Julisa worked as a property solicitor in a mid-sized firm in Dublin focusing primarily in the area of renewable energy.

Julisa has particular experience in acting for investors and developers on a wide range of property rights required in association with renewable energy developments during the course of a sale, purchase or project finance to include title due diligence, land acquisition, option agreements, leases, landlord and tenant rights, rights of way/easement/wayleaves, over sail agreements, licences, planning permissions and registration queries that may arise during the course of registering title in the Property Registration Authority.

Julisa also has experience in dealing with complex title issues to include the re-constitution of title, rectifying title where boundaries are not registered correctly in the Property Registration Authority and also deals with first registration applications to include applications based on long possession and adverse possession ensuring that on completion of a sale that registration of the land/property can be completed in the Property Registration Authority.
